Hijackthis? Where can I submit my scan from Hijackthis program? Like a specific link to a forum please? Thanks.

Is it safe to post HijackThis and ComboFix logs in forums? Most tech support forums seem to ask you to post a HiJackThis log in a thread so they can help you. If they ask you to run ComboFix, they ask to see that log too. Is it safe to share that information in a forum? I don't fully understand what information is in those logs, so I'm wondering if it can be used to take over your computer in any way. Thanks in advance!

Blondie replied: "If the forum asks for it, yeah, post it if you want help."

The Phlebob replied: "Nothing personal is in an HJT log, just a summary of programs and tasks. Worry not."

How do i remove Hijackthis? I was going through the add/remove list and i found it? I never installed the system or something similary to Hijackthis. It says i have hijackthis 1.99.1 on the list. Can't i just delete it from the add/remove list.

COMPUABLE replied: "Go Here: Then scroll way down to the heading: "Questions about HijackThis" Then read these instructions: "How do I uninstall HijackThis?""

Cirric replied: "Hi. Hijackthis is a tool used to help diagnose a computer. You can just remove it."

lainey lain replied: "If you don't want it just right click on it and delete it or remove it whatever the option it gives you in your add/remove program. Somebody had to download it or it came with your system, it's just a diagnostic tool but not for anyone unfamiliar to use because you could end up deleting the wrong thing! So don't use it if you are not confident enough to use it. Peace!"

♥ just_me ♥ replied: "Spybot search and destoy should get rid of that try downloading it it's free. Hope that this helps you!"

Why won't "HiJackThis" work? It begins to scan then shuts off completely, any help? I try to scan my system with the program "HiJackThis" v2.0.2 and it begins to but then just shuts off and closes. Then when I click the program to run it again it doesn't open. Any help?
